Services for print shops

Assess. Build. Operate.

PressForge sells three things to a print shop: a written technology assessment ($2,500, 10 business days), fixed-price implementation projects ($3,000 to $25,000), and monthly managed operation ($500 to $2,000 per month) with a one-page proof-of-value report every month.

1

Assess

We inventory the network, MIS, workflow, backups and security, interview the people who hold the tribal knowledge, and deliver a written findings report with a prioritised modernisation roadmap. You keep the report whether or not you hire us for the next step.

2

Build

Dashboard suites, storefront-to-MIS order intake, payment reconciliation, imposition and prepress tooling, cloud migrations, network and backup remediation. Every project is scoped to one measurable outcome and quoted as one number.

$3,000 to $25,000 per project · fixed price
3

Operate

Hosting, monitoring, backups, dashboard upkeep and a support line, with a monthly report in dollars and incidents. Start on one workflow (usually Found Money or Chaser), not a platform.

Operating safeguards

Written into every contract.

Five conditions are written into every PressForge contract: we never hold your passwords, nothing is touched without written access authorisation, a human at your shop approves every money- and customer-touching step, tax and compliance questions go to your accountant, and we carry errors-and-omissions and cyber insurance before the first managed contract.

  1. Never hold client passwords: named accounts and revocable keys only.
  2. Written access authorisation before the first login, listing every system and access level.
  3. A named human approves every customer-touching and money-touching step.
  4. Tax, legal and compliance questions are deferred to the client's accountant or counsel.
  5. Errors-and-omissions and cyber insurance in place before the first managed contract.

Who this is for

Best fit: commercial print shops of 5 to 50 people on PrintSmith, another EFI MIS or QuickBooks, with no internal IT, outside the Denver metro market. We do not take on shops that compete directly with our own.

Why automate at all: 79% of commercial printers report no or minimal automation, and 85% say it is essential to stay competitive (source 1).
